Hmad Bari Talla

Iltija Hey Iltaja Lyrics

Iltija hey iltija, aie meray Rab e Kareem
Tu dua maqbool farmata hai, aur Tu hai Raheem.

Tu hai Khaliq, Tu hei Malik, Tu hai Muqtal e Jahaan
Zaray zaray say hai Teri Shan e Khalati ayan.
Teri qudrat kay mazahir char suu hain bayguman
Kon hai Tujsa kavi aie dastagee ray bay kasan.
Tu Khuda e Lamyazal hai, aur hai sab say azeem.

Ilteja hai Ilteeja, aye meray Rab e Karim
Iltaja hye Iltija, aie maray Rabb e Kareem.

Gham kay maray hain, karam ki bheek day aie Zuljalal
Hum Teray lachar banday hain humein kuch day kay taal.
Apnay bad amaliyon say ho chukay hain hum lidhal
Hum siyah bakhtoon pay bhi ya Rab nigahay lutf daal.
Apnay rastay per chala day hum ko aye Zaat e Azeem.

Ilteja hai Iltija, aie meray Rab e Kareem
Ilteja hai Iltija, aie meray Rab e Kareem.

Day humein taufeeq Apna e siratay mustaqeem.

Ilteja hai Iltija, aie meray Rab e Kareem
Ilteja hai Iltija, aie meray Rab e Kareem.

Kash ho Teray haram ki hazri humko aata
Wasta detay hain hum Tujkho Teray Mehboob ka
Hai Teray pyaray haram kay sab nazaray dil kusha
Woh nazaray pyaray pyarey Ya Khuda Humko dikha
Sangey aswad multazam ruknay yamaney aur hateem.

Ilteja hai Iltija, aie meray Rab e Kareem
Ilteja hai Iltija, aie meray Rab e Kareem.

Day humein Apnay Rasul e Pak ki ulfat kay jaam
Takay hum ho jayein Ya Rab khush isalo kush khiraan
Jin kay Fayazi bhi naghmay gaa raha hai subh o shaam
Jin kay iss yameen say behtar karoroon hain ghulaam
Woh Jinhein tunay kiya hai Sahib e Khulqay Azeem.

Ilteja hai Iltija, aie meray Rab e Kareem
Ilteja hai Iltija, aie meray Rab e Kareem

QASIDAH BURDA H SHAREIF .

QASIDAH  BURDAH                              by Allaamah Sharafuddeen Muhammad ibn Hasan al-Busairi (RA) .

THE WRITER HAZRAT IMAAM SAALIH SHARA-FUD-DEEN ABU ABDULLAH MUHAMMAD BIN HASAN AL-BUSAIRI R.A. had become paralysed. His doctors and physicians gave up all hope of his recovery. Eventually in this state of complete helplessness and despair he composed this poem expressing the grandeur and excellence of Sayyidina Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam. Using this as his sole means of asking Allah Ta'aala to cure him from his illness. He isolated himself in a quiet place one Thursday night and with complete devotion, concentration and sincerity began reciting this poem. While reciting it sleep overcame him. He had a vision of Sayyidina Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam. He told Sayyidina Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam of his illness whereupon Sayyidina Rasulullah Sallallahu Alyahi Wasallam passed his blessed hand over Imaam Busairi's body. Through the barakat and blessing of Sayyidina Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam, Allah Ta'aala granted him complete cure from his paralysis. When he awoke he found a scarf or shawl on his body which he had seen Sayyidina Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhl Wasallam place on his paralyzed limbs. This resulted in the poem being named "Qasidah Burdah" (The Poem of the Scarf).

In the morning when due to some necessity, he went to the bazaar, a pious dervish greeted him with salaam and requested him to recite the Qasidah which he had composed in praise of Sayyidina Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam. The poet said that I have composed many poems in praise of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam, which one do you wish to hear? The dervish replied: 'The one which begins with, “A-mm Tazak-kurin.” (i.e. Qasidah Burdah).” Upon this request the poet became wonder struck and said, "I take an oath that no one knows about this poem. Tell me the truth, from whom did you hear about it?” The dervish replied, "I take an oath by Allah that I heard it from you last night when in a dream you had recited it to Sayyidina Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam, whereupon Sayyidina Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam became attentive towards you and because of its blessings Allah Ta'aala granted you complete cure from your ailment".

When the poet gave this poem to the dervish his secret became known to all the people and its barakat and blessings too became general for all.

When this poem reached Baha-ud-deen the governor of the country named Taahir, he so highly regarded and respected it that he would stand while listening to it.

It is also narrated that Saaadud-deen Farouqi, who was a viceroy of Baha-ud-deen, had became blind. In a dream he saw a pious person who told him to take the Qasidah Burdah from Baha-ud-deen and place it on his eyes. In the morning he told Baha-ud-deen about this dream. The Qasidah Burdah was brought and with full sincerity and conviction Sa'aadud-deen placed it on his eyes. Through its barakat Allah Ta'aala granted him complete cure and restored his eyesight.

Hadith Collections

1116. Umm Habibah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Whoever observes the practice of performing four Rak`ah before Zuhr prayer and four after the Zuhr prayer, Allah will shield him against the Fire (of Hell).
[Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi].

Commentary: This Ahadith mean that a person who follows this course of practice, will die as a Muslim and will not remain in Hell for ever like the Kuffar (infidels) unless Allah has forgiven all his sins for him and would, as a result, save him from Fire altogether. That is, Almighty Allah will not let him live in Hell for ever. According to some Ahadith, the fire of Hell will not touch him, which also amounts to saying that he will not be kept in Hell for all eternity. If a Muslim is liable to punishment, his stay in Hell - for a few days or weeks or months depending on the nature of his sins - is not a contravention of such Ahadith because he will ultimately be released from Hell and brought to Jannah. "Allah will shield him against the Fire'' should not be taken to mean that a Muslim will not be sent to Hell no matter what he does. If Almighty Allah does not forgive him in the very first instance, he will have to suffer the torment of Hell as long as He would like and then he will be sent to Jannah.

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “The universe compared to Allah’s kursi (footrest) is like a ring in a desert. And Allah’s kursi compared to His ursh (throne) is like a ring in a desert.” [Ibn Hibban, Ibn Abi Hatim]

The size of our planet earth compared to the size of the universe is like a grain of sand compared to the size of the earth. Now read again how the size of the universe compares to Allah’s kursi and His ursh!

1467.  Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The supplication most often recited by the Prophet (PBUH) was: "Allahumma atina fid-dunya hasanatan, wa fil-akhirati hasanatan, wa qina `adhab-annar (O our Rubb! give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the punishment of the Fire).'''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

In the narration of Muslim it is added that whenever Anas supplicated, he used to beseech Allah with this Du`a.

Commentary: It is desirable to recite this Du`a which is mentioned in the Qur'an (2:201) and which comprehends all that is good both in this life and the Hereafter. The Prophet (PBUH) made it a habit to recite this Du`a, and the Companions were eager to follow him in all his words and actions.

  • A man giving in alms one piece of silver in his lifetime is better for him than giving one hundred when about to die.

  • The ink of the scholar is more holy than the blood of the martyr.
  • He who travels in the search of knowledge, to him God shows the way of Paradise.
  • Acquire knowledge, because he who acquires it, in the way of the Lord, performs an act of piety; who speaks of it praises the Lord; who seeks it, adores God, who dispenses instruction in it, bestows alms; and who imparts it to its fitting objects, performs an act of devotion to God. Knowledge enables its possessor to distinguish what is forbidden from what is not; lights the way to Heaven; it is our friend in the desert, our companion in solitude, our companion, when benefit of friends; it guides us to happiness; it sustains us in misery; it is our ornament in the company of friends; it serves as an armor against our enemies. With knowledge the creatures of Allah rises to the heights of goodness and to noble position, associates with the sovereigns in this world and attains the perfection of happiness in the next.

  • Paradise lies at the feet of thy mother.
  • He who wishes to enter Paradise must please his father and mother.
  • No one who keeps his mind focused entirely upon himself can grow large, strong and beautiful in character.
  • Whoever loves to meet God, God loves to meet him.
  • The five stated prayers erase the sins which have been committed during the intervals between them if they have not been mortal sins.
  • God is not merciful to him who is not so to humankind. He who is not kind to God's creation and to his own children, God will not be kind to him.
  • Whosoever visits a sick person, an angel calls from Heaven: "Be happy in the world and happy be your walking; and take your habitation in Paradise."
  • The love of the world is the root of all evils.
  • Wealth properly employed is a blessing; and a man may lawfully endeavor to increase it by honest means.
  • One who listens to the call of a Muslim, and does not respond to it, is NOT a Muslim.

  • Being in need of Allah is a source of pride for me and I take pride in it.
  • Honesty brings subsistence. Dishonesty brings poverty.
  • I will certainly hear him who greets me near my tomb, and I will surely respond the salaams of him who greets me from any place.
